In 2005, the Steelers were down most of the year, but ended up winning the Super Bowl (after they won the AFC North easily in 2004). In 2006, the Steelers dug a hole for themselves that they couldn't climb out of.

There are clear similarities between this year's Ravens team (which has yet to show up on defense and continues to rip teams apart on offense, but not score touchdowns) and the Steelers teams of 2005 and 2006. Today, McNair had Demetrius Williams wide open twice and missed him both times (costing them 8 points, as those were the times Stover made the field goal). The Lewis touchdown run was a bad call and probably should have been a Cleveland field goal. Then there are the 2 Stover misses, so the game could easily have been 27-23 Ravens instead of 27-13 Browns.

Are the Ravens going to have more in common with the 2005 Steelers or the 2006 Steelers at the end of the season?
