Who We Are
Grace Fellowship of Chester began meeting as a church in 2005 when we called our Teaching Pastor, Jamey Day. We are reformed in our theology. We have a common conviction that biblical expository preaching holds a place of supremacy in our corporate worship and evangelism. We are, together, convinced that a biblical gospel message is and should be God-centered and not man-centered. With one accord, we hold to the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture. We are mission-focused from the local to the international.
Tired of the church growth movement's watered down theology and man-centered views of the gospel of Christ, Grace Fellowship was born from a deep desire to hear an uncompromising
expositional style message from the Bible each and every week.
ESV Acts 2:42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles'
teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Grace Fellowship is also dedicated to a return of Biblical Eldership
as a model for church order and leadership.
ESV Titus 1:5 This is why I left you in Crete, so that you
might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town
as I directed
you-
We are also likeminded in regards to the Biblical command to “preach
the Gospel.” We believe it is our God-given responsibility to evangelize
the lost in Chester, in Virginia, in the United States, and in the World
(see Acts 1:8).
