In other words are there any numbers which have been worn by groups of players who have been either notoriously good or bad? As in number seven, you could say that it has been worn by John Elway and Ben Roethlisburger (just a number and two names off the top of my head). Or you could say that number has also been worn by guys like J.P. Losman or Kyle Boller. Then you have sixteen to name another, which was worn by Joe Montana but was also worn by Vinny Testaverde in that nightmare season with Carolina and was worn by Ryan Leaf (need I say anymore for the latter?). But which number do you think has had the most honor bestowed upon it, and which do you think has been made the most shameful to wear?
By the way, my choice for best is probably 7, and yes, 81 is pretty bad.
81's had some great talent, but loudmouth T.O. and Randy Moss (albeit, in his quiter days, so you can't really say much about that) among others have somewhat tarnished it.
