Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me."

Recommended Websites

The Shepherds' Fellowship requires a subscription. We wouldn't say that it is a must, but it has some great benefits for training a pastor who wants to be bible-centered in their ministry. It is a non-denominational association of churches that emphasizes the sufficiency of scripture and the importance of expository preaching. It's worth looking into.

This website offers wisdom that can only come from decades of ministry experience. One name - John MacArthur. Listen to his radio program, read his articles, order his books, and be discipled by a true patriarch of evangelicalism.

Again - John MacArthur. This used to be part of the subscription with the Shepherds' Fellowship, but now you get the online magazine articles for free and you get to interact with these guys. Nathan Busenitz is John MacArthur's personal assistant, and you get his ear on this online magazine/blog. It's a beautiful thing. It's organized by category and every week there are new entries that are always relevent and always right on point. If there is one website that you bookmark from this page, make this the one...

If you are a pastor or church leader you need to visit this website. It came out of Mark Dever's book, 9 Marks of a Healthy Church. This site will help examine your ministry from a God-centered, bible-centered perspective. Does your church possess the 9 marks. It not some kind of gimic or 10 steps to success. It is a tool to help you determine whether or not you are headed down a path that is spiritually healthy or unhealthy.

If you don't like being challenged and you like the little box you put God in, then by all means - don't go to this website. Piper just has a way of putting things that will make you see passages of scripture in a whole new way. You can listen to every sermon he has preached in his nearly 30 years at Bethlehem Baptist, you can read every sermon manuscript, and you can order his books, but most of all - you can toss out that little box you've been putting the God of the universe in. I could write so much more. Just follow the link and be prepared to be blown away.
