The father to be is very dangerous. What should she do?
My best friend is pregnant and is 5 months a long. However the father to be is a very dangerous guy. He stalks her, and calls her to call her a whore. She is scared for her baby to be. She is on Badger care so they ask who the father is, but that will give him half custody. is there anyone she can talk to to make it so he won't have any rights where the baby is concerned? We live in Wisconsin and I really don't know what to look for. He is always getting drunk and smoking pot. He threatens to kill himself if she won't take him back. Please, can anyone tell me what she can do? We just don't know where to look.
She already told them who the father was. I have witnessed the abuse. His mother is threatening her as well.
I would recommend your friend talk to someone as soon as possible. How old is she? If she is under 18, you might contact Child Protective Services (CPS).
If she is over 18, she might consider contacting a woman's shelter or similar agency. They would know where to direct her. You might also consider contacting the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
This is something she should not tackle on her own. Kudos to you for being a good friend and finding out what you can do. If she does not do anything, I would recommend you make a call to either of the agencies I mentioned. If you witnessed abuse, you can contact one of those agencies or even call the police.
